They should be told that traditional medical interventions may not be enough to treat their pain, so they should therefore, consult other alternative means instead, or in addition to traditional medical interventions. But consistently charging excessive amounts and over treating a chronic back problem as if it is curable by such treatments, is ethically wrong and should be stopped!
